Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Examine patient to determine general physical condition
  • Order and accurately interpret necessary laboratory tests, pathology results, radiologist reports in the development and execution of a treatment plan for patients
  • Provide preventative health care services in accordance with HEDIS and other national evidence-based standards
  • Prescribe treatments and medication
  • Accurately document all patient information in medical record as required by policies including information about patient’s medical history
  • Immunize patients from communicable diseases
  • Advise patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease
  • Refer patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment.
  • Be able to supervise and assist staff i.e. Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
  • Develop positive rapport with patients and families to foster physician/patient relationships
  • Finalize patient charting in a timely, yet complete fashion to support billing levels
  • Responsible in providing a professional and comfortable patient service experience
  • Maintain professional and appropriate behavior
  • Perform other duties, projects, and actions as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • Experience and training as a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Physician with an active unrestrictive CA license to practice medicine by the Medi-Cal Board of California
  • Must be ethical and possess the ability to remain impartial and objective
  • Possess skill in gathering and analyzing physiological, socio-economic and emotional patient data and accurately evaluate patient problems in person or via phone and provide appropriate advice, intervention, or referral
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications and EHR software

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assists Medical Director in developing clinical practice guidelines.
  • Participates in provider and medical care team meetings.
  • Interview patients to obtain history, performs physical examinations, orders lab and other tests, prescribes medications and treatments.
  • Provides continuity in managed care for patients with pre-existing long-term problems.
  • Makes referrals for secondary and tertiary care.
  • Provides health maintenance visits, evaluates for immunizations, and provides anticipatory guidance and referrals and performs contract yearly physical examinations.
  • Documents and codes all patient contact accurately and legibly in the medical record.
  • Performs as an active member of the medical team.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Referrals & following up (call patients or send letter when referrals have been approved)
  • Keep logs for daily hemoglobin testing, vaccination/drugs medication log, lab requisitions, cleaning rooms, refrigerator and freezer temperature check twice daily, monthly supply Inventory check.
  • Lock up clinic and dispensary when leaving in the evening.
  • Pharmacy fax refill requests
  • Ordering supplies from Labs- order, keep log/supply list, check in supplies, stock/distribute, and remind staff on ordering dates if needed.
  • Medical records – check for completion, follow up calls to doctors’ offices/patients, make appointments, notes in system, fax records, file records upon arrival, give doctor records to sign off on.
  • Patient- take vital signs (BP, Wt., Ht., Temp., Resp.), intake/medical history on patient, prepare patient for doctors’ examination or procedure, position instruments and equipment, assist physician/provider with exams & procedures, clean exam room after patient and set up for next patient.
  • Administer/perform – vaccines/immunizations, ear lavages, hemoglobin sticks, urinalysis, TB test, vision and hearing screenings, injections and other services as prescribed/directed by the provider.
  • Lab duties- draw blood (only if Phlebotomy Certificate or Validation Certificate on file), collect prepare and send specimen to lab, print all lab orders, give to provider to review and sign off on, change sharps container, follow up for any missing lab results/test/specimens and order lab supplies.
  • Answer phones, check patients in and make calls as needed/directed to keep patient flow.
  • Appointments- make appointments, confirm appointments, and send missed appointment letters as needed.
  • Translate for doctors/patients as needed.
  • Stock and restock rooms with supplies and make sure supplies are available.
  • Enter/document patients in the EMR. (Nextgen)
  • Hand out paperwork to patients, make copies, and call Dr. offices for medical records as needed.
  • Dispensary- open date on all supplies, insure in compliance, no expired medication (expiration dates), medication logged.
  • Pediatrics- take vital signs (Ht., Wt., Temp., Head Circumference & Pulse Oxy.,) Vaccinate Peds. Patients as ordered from Provider. Update Immunization Records and update CAIR2 Registry.

We are looking for an HR & Admin Officer to join our team and support the day-to-day activities of our Human Resources department.

HR & Admin Officer responsibilities include processing employee data, updating company policies and assisting in the hiring process. To be successful in this role, you should have solid organizational skills and be familiar with HR functions.

Ultimately, you will make sure all HR operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining physical and digital personnel records like employment contracts and PTO requests
  • Update internal databases with new hire information
  • Create and distribute guidelines and FAQ documents about company policies
  • Gather payroll data like bank accounts and working days
